It is hard to believe, but my art festival season ends after this weekend (at least, as of now). I’m going out with a bang though, as I’m exhibiting at A Festival of Oddities for the first time. As the same suggests, this isn’t a typical art festival–which is what caught my attention in the first place.
WHAT IS A FESTIVAL OF ODDITIES?
There’s the “Macabre Marketplace” where you can find myself, as well as food trucks, a kitten adoption event, and more. Check out the official website for all of the details. Expect a lot of spooky and weird stuff, but that’s the whole point!
WHEN AND WHERE IS IT?
A Festival of Oddities takes place in Charlotte, Michigan (pronounced SHAR-LOT) at the Courthouse Square Museum, on Saturday September 2nd, 11 AM – 6 PM and Sunday, September 3rd, 11 AM – 4 PM.
The address to the museum is 100 W. Lawrence Avenue. There isn’t a cost to see the vendors and such outside, but there is a fee to enter the museum to see the exhibits.
WHERE TO FIND ME AT A FESTIVAL OF ODDITIES
Most of the action takes place on the lawn of the courthouse, and that’s where I will be. Specifically, you can find me on the South side of the building off Lawrence Avenue, near the stage. I’m at the end of the path leading to the stage.
WHAT AM I SELLING THIS WEEKEND?
Because there aren’t any restrictions, I can basically sell whatever I want in terms of my art. I’ll have Found Cartoons, Three Panels, my dragon/monster prints, and ScrapToons. Speaking of ScrapToons, I will have a brand new batch to debut this weekend!
This season certainly had its ups and downs, but I’m looking forward to having time off from big outdoor shows. I hope you can make it out to A Festival of Oddities to help me end the season on a high note!
FYI if you missed it, I added a new reward for patrons on Patreon! (it’s more comics!)
