Open Studio, Sunday October 1st

While I am done with art festivals, Steph and I do have an event this Sunday: an Open Studio Day at our space inside Cedar Street Art Collective.

WHERE IS CEDAR STREET ART COLLECTIVE?

You can find the building, surprisingly, on South Cedar Street here in Lansing. Specifically, at 1701 S. Cedar Street, Lansing, MI 48910.

Once you are at the building, either park in the street or in the rear lot if there is space.

Next, go to the FRONT of the building and use the red door with the white flowers on Cedar Street. After that, we’re the first door on your right when you come in. We’ll probably have one or both doors open.

WHAT TIME?

Our door(s) open at 12 PM and close at 4 PM, so it is a short day.

WHAT AM I SELLING?

Since I’ll be at the studio, a little bit of everything. I’ll have prints, limited edition reproductions, matted originals, and framed originals. Maybe even some other random things I find. That’s the perk of the open studio: I can sell whatever I want.

FUTURE EVENTS

I wrote a lengthy, and free to read, post on Patreon about my 2023 art festival season. The short version is, I decided to take 2024 off from doing outdoor art festivals. Could this change? Sure. I need a break and I need to figure out a few things before I do another big art festival. I’m sure some things will pop up, and I’ll of course let you all know.

The tradeoff is I want to spend 2024 (and the rest of 2023) putting more effort and time into my online shop.

SOCIAL CHANGES

Speaking of needing a break, another update: I decide to remove all of the social media apps from my phone this week. I still have desktop/iPad access, so I’ll still be posting, just not as often. It will mean I’ll be slower to see/respond to things as well.

Why? As I said, I needed a break. I did something similar earlier in the year, but during art festival season, I put everything back on my phone. Normal social media is exhausting enough, but when you slap trying to promote yourself/business/art on top, it is a lot to handle.

Anywho, I hope you can make it out to the open studio this Sunday.
