Steph and I are kicking off 2022 with a pop-up event in Ann Arbor this Saturday! Come see us at Gutman Gallery, 11 AM – 5 PM. We will each have our own table with our art, so it’s kind of a mini-artist alley in a way. Because this event is one day only, we’re keeping things simple. Don’t worry, we’ll both have plenty of art for sale.
And, there’s more: the reason we’re doing the pop-up is we both have pieces in the current all-media exhibition, Anything Goes. The concept of the exhibition is, as the name says, “anything goes” when it comes to what they are showing. I actually submitted Path Pals as one of my three works to possibly show. Gutman Gallery wanted Path Pals, but after a lot of back and forth emails between us, we realized its size was an issue. So, Gutman Gallery took my watercolor Found Cartoon, Beyond Infinity.
Here’s a quick write-up about the other pop-ups and the exhibition.
Hopefully, the snow is under control by Saturday, fingers crossed! I don’t know about you, but we got over thirteen inches here in Lansing this week. Yuck. I’m already done with Winter by this point. Spring can’t get here too soon for me.
If you can’t make it out to Ann Arbor, you can see work by both of us at the Lansing Art Gallery’s new location! The Lansing Art Gallery recently moved to the Knapp’s Building in downtown Lansing. I have a few pieces there, which aren’t part of the current exhibition, but are part of the gallery’s retail offerings. I have three works of art on display at the Lansing Art Gallery at the moment, including one of my Three Panels pieces, Faster Than Light. The new Lansing Art Gallery space is gorgeous, and I can’t wait to go see my art on display.
Stay safe out there, and stay warm!
