Arts Night Out returns to Lansing’s Old Town this Friday evening (the 12th), and I’m once again appearing at Cravings Gourmet Popcorn. Hooray!

When and Where is Arts Night Out?

Arts Night Out is this Friday, July 12th. Everything starts at 5 PM and goes until 8PM in Lansing’s Old Town neighborhood. You can find me at Cravings Gourmet Popcorn, located at 1221 Turner St. Lansing MI 48906.

The best part is, you can’t miss anything: there are multiple venues featuring artists on Friday evening. Just head for Old Town and walk around!

That’s the idea of Arts Night Out: it’s a chance for people to check out the work of local artists and visit local businesses too.

What Am I Selling at Arts Night Out?

Since this is a short and sweet event, only three hours, my offerings will be limited. I will have new cartoon prints for sale, as well as my 100 Day Project original art cartoons. Most importantly, I will have copies of the Foxes & Boxes graphic novel. I don’t plan on bringing any framed art, because I have to travel light. Don’t worry, I will have plenty of items for sale, including buttons and cartoon greeting cards.

ScrapFest

Old Town’s ScrapFest starts on Friday evening as well, so the place will be jumping! ScrapFest is an art festival focusing on repurposed materials for creating works of art. My wife Steph Joy Hogan will be exhibiting at ScrapFest, as will several of our Lansing artist buddies.

One Crazy July

My bonkers July kicked off last weekend with the West Shore Art Fair in Ludington. I had a great time, and did very well. I plan on applying to attend again next year. The big news is, I sold one of my large 18” x 24” framed Found Cartoon pieces, Cycles.

After Arts Night Out this weekend, I have Really Cool Comic Con on July 20th, then Get Geek’d Expo on July 27-28th. I plan on sleeping eventually. Maybe September.
