I’m happy to announce I have another opening reception this Saturday, September 21, 1 PM – 4 PM.
The REACH Studio Art Center (1804 S Washington Ave, Lansing, MI 48910) asked me to be a part of their new exhibition, Art in Sequence. This collection features artwork inspired by comics, and I happily gave them some of my Three Panels pieces to display.
Here’s what REACH has to say about the event on Saturday:
“We’re excited to present ‘Art in Sequence: Artwork Inspired By Comics,’ a gallery show featuring the works of local artists Tim Foley, Daniel J. Hogan, Andrew Schultz, Eric Staib, Vivian Walters, and Elijah Hamilton Wray. On display from September 6th to October 15th, this exhibition explores the dynamic art of comics through a variety of creative interpretations.
Join us for the opening reception on September 21st from 1-4 PM, part of the 2024 Lansing Lit Fest. The event will include a comic art activity, a panel discussion with the exhibiting artists, and a pop-up shop hosted by Socialight Society.”
Yes, you read correctly: they are letting be on a panel talk. Someday, people will learn not to give me a microphone. Just kidding, of course. I’m excited to be a part of this chat and talk about my love of comics and my Three Panels pieces.
Come on down to REACH this Saturday, 1 PM to 4 PM if you are able. It would be great to see you. Sales of pieces on display are handled by Reach and I also have a few other goodies for sale in their “shop” (prints, mini-comics, etc).
Here are just two of the pieces I’ll have on display at REACH.
