A few weeks ago, Luke Pline, from Luke Anthony Photography, asked me to shoot photos at his Little Black Dress fundraiser. I was both honored and nervous, but I was happy with the shots I turned in (and more importantly, so was Luke)–and the shot above was one of my favorites. The lighting was not the best, and I had not recieved my flash yet (it came a few days after the event), so I did what I could using available light and my 1.8 50mm prime lens.
Part of me thinks I should have made this shot black and white. Or neon orange and green.
Sure, her gloves kind of blend in with her dress, making the tickets look like they are floating–but it was ON PURPOSE. Or not. You decide. I like the idea of floating tickets. Ghost tickets, anyone?
As long as they ain’t tickets to Ghost Dad, I’m happy.
