I decided to post a few more photos from my friend’s wedding. Check out yesterday’s post for the first batch.
To recap for those joining the story in progress, I was a groomsman for George and Gracie’s wedding (names change) and I found out in route to the service that the couple couldn’t afford to hire pro shooter.
I decided to help them out, even though I am not a wedding shooter in the slightest, and snapped a few photos with my trusty Canon T2i. It was a good learning experience.
This was my take on the “rings” photo–with the bride and groom laying their hands on top of each other. One problem–my angle was totally wrong. Crap. You can barely even see George’s ring. The issue was, and this goes for some of the following photos, I wasn’t the only person taking pictures of the couple. It was difficult to direct the couple or get the shots I wanted. I cross processed the colors in Photoshop, like I did with the rest of the photos.
More after the break.
One of my few posed shots. Thankfully, everyone was looking at me for this one, which wasn’t always the case in the later photos. Again, the problem was the swarm of other guests snapping away at the couple/and/or/rest of the wedding party, and barking commands. Now I know why pro shooters make the rests of the guests scram when they do these kind of photos. Also, I wasn’t really paying attention to how everyone was lined up in the shot–I was just snapping away.
Probably should of had the Bride next to the Groom and not the Maid of Honor, eh?
Another take of the couple signing their marriage paperwork. I think I like the version in yesterday’s post more.
I like how the colors of the flowers in this shot turned out. I think the cross processing made the flowers pop a bit more. Looks like the Maid of Honor is a bit out of focus though. Hmm.
Another rare shot where both the Bride and Groom are looking at me. There was probably ten other people snapping pictures at the same time. Although…looking closer at George’s eyes, it appears he may not be, or is starting to look somewhere else. D’oh.
I tried to get fancy and do a low angle shot. It turned out OK, I guess. Really like the colors of the Bride’s flowers.
Well, there you go–my first stab at shooting wedding photos. Look for something completely different tomorrow!
