I was part of a group that rented a cabin in Caseville earlier this month (a cute coastal town located in Michigan’s thumb).
The. Place. Was. AMAZING.
Picture, in your mind a cabin. It is filled with all of the greatest, newest gadgets–circa 1962. A favorite such artifact (after the built in counter blender) was the panic button panel in the master bedroom. For the shot above, I knew I wanted a picture of myself pushing the button, but I didn’t want to actually push it–so, I decided on a long exposure shot, to get a ghostly look.
It made for a fun experiment.

The new ACME Bedroom comes with its own key ignition.
Here is the full panel (the lighting was not the best). I covered the address and phone number. I did a bit of research and I don’t think this place (or guy) is in business any longer.

You light up my life, Bedroom Panel.
Close up of the right side of the panel.

Atomic logos are the new black.
Close up of the installer/designer/whatever’s logo. I love this and how retro it is, I almost want to have a similar logo made with my initials. Almost.
These photos may not be anything special, but the subject was too interesting not to share.
Tomorrow: more photos!
