Photo – the Hidden Cost of Free Trade

by Daniel J. Hogan
Photo of tree stumps with The Hidden Cost of Free Trade carved into them by Daniel J. Hogan.

Chauncey knew his gardener was trying to tell him something, but he couldn't quite figure out what.

Found in downtown Lansing, Michigan along the River Trail.  If you can’t make out the words, it says “The Hidden Cost of Free Trade.”

Happy Black Friday. Have fun buying all those toasters and iPads.

I was walking on Lansing’s River Trail and I spotted this out of the corner of my eye.  It is reasons like this I try to keep some kind of camera on me at all times.

Shot in color, but I felt that making it black and white fit the message of the carving a bit more–because we all know, making a photo black and white automaticaly makes it more important.  And color is tacky.

If any of the bands I was in ever gets back together, I’ll use this for the cover of an EP.

Are you reading this, the rest of Alien Space Castles Target Earth? The time is now. The World is ready for our message (and songs about space pirates).

I am reading this and as one third of the power trio once known as Alien Space Castles Target Earth, I fully support a reunion tour. Perhaps this time around the world will realize our greatness and shower us with the glory we so dearly deserve.

Let’s do it. Get Erik on the horn. I want us kicking out the jams in Hoboken by the end of the week.
