Well it’s been a crazy spring so far, eh? I doubt I need to explain how the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted everything. Regarding my appearances this art festival season, basically all of my events art cancelled until late July at the moment. Here’s hoping that’s the last of it. Yes, this means the East Lansing Art Festival in May cancelled as well.
To help make up for my cancelled events, I overhauled this website.
New: Shop on My Website
The pandemic got me to finally add a shop to this website. Yes, now you can buy my original art, books, and prints here. My Etsy shop is still open, and I don’t plan on shutting it down at all. However, new items will be added here first, and in some cases maybe exclusively. For example, the PDF downloads of my out-of-print coloring books are only available here.
For those interested, I’m using the WordPress plugin Woocommerce to run the shop on this site. It wasn’t difficult to set-up, just tedious. There is a lot of stuff that goes into setting up and running an online shop. Thankfully, most of the leg work is over and I’m just doing little things here and there.
I don’t plan on stopping there. I have some other features in the works for my shop here. One thing at a time, though.
100 Day Project 2020
Once again I’m taking part in the 100 Day Project. Every day for 100 days in a row, I make a new piece of original art. Like the last few years, I’m once again making Found Cartoons. Each 100 Day Project piece starts as a random watercolor shape and I make it into a cartoon.
This year, I’m shaking things up a bit. Instead of all 100 pieces being 4×6 like in years past, there will be different sizes (and prices). I’m also using some new paints and inks. Keep your eyes peeled on my Instagram to see when I post a new 100 Day Project piece.
