A big weekend ahead! Free Comic Book Day is this Saturday (May 2nd), and you can see me at two places:
8:00 AM to 10:30 AM: Clem’s Comics & Games (216 S. Washington Sq., Suite B, Lansing, MI, 48933)
12:00 PM to 4:00 PM: Red Fox Comics (723 Brookside Dr., Lansing, MI, 48917)
Don’t forget! I’m a guest at the Capital City Comic Con the same weekend, but Sunday May 3rd only.
This weekend you can buy one of my brand new coloring books! I spent the weekend folding pages and stapling, bringing a crazy few weeks of hard work to a close. Next time, I’ll work on a coloring book in the Winter (aka Convention Off Season), not a few weeks before a string of shows. Oof. I’m tired.
Here’s a shot of one of the finished coloring books.
Yes. Sixty coloring books, although only 40 of those are for sale to the public (the other 20 Stephanie wanted me to get for family, etc). I thought of making more, but I didn’t want to overdo things. Always better to sell out of a smaller run than get stuck with a hundred copies I can’t move. I can always make more.
Next time though, I’ll see about the print shop making the entire book, not just the cover (thanks to ASAP Printing in Okemos for a great job on the covers).
I will get a few coloring books up for sale in my Etsy shop, but not for a couple of weeks (I’m too busy getting ready for Free Comic Book Day weekend). I do not have plans to sell a digital version of the coloring book (like a PDF) at this time, and don’t really plan on doing so. I want a fun physical item to sell at shows, etc. We’ll see, I could change my mind, but it is not a priority at the moment.
