I added another convention to my appearance schedule. I decided to give GrandCon, in Grand Rapids, a try. Like all the other shows I’m attending, GrandCon came highly recommended by my local comic making pals. Word of mouth really does help with this sort of thing: there’s nothing worse than trying a new con and finding out it was a waste of time (except for, I dunno, ninja?).
My comic friends have not steered me wrong yet. This is the upside to being a part of a community: getting advice, and learning. Spending the weekend at the Small Press and Alternative Comics Expo with some of my comic friends taught me a lot. Better still, it meant there were plenty of laughs.
For those keeping score at home, that’s five appearances for me in 2014. Golly. I had one in 2013 (Free Comic Book Day). Two down, three to go.
In other Clattertron news, I added a couple new prints to my Society6 store–and a couple t-shirts.
