A hawk (?) of some kind in downtown Lansing. I crept up behind it, on my stomach and caught it with my zoom lens. This week’s links below.
It looks like my parents when I show up for Christmas dinner.
Not the best shot, but the look of this bird was priceless. I sharpened it a bit in Photoshop.

I think you’ve either got a Sharp-SHINNed Hawk or a Cooper’s Hawk.
Except for size (Cooper’s a bit bigger) they’re nearly identical. (And awesome.)
Both of can be seen at local birdfeeders, waiting to keronche unsuspecting smaller birds. Heh.
“Sharp-SHINNed” haha! Nice 😀
The previous comment stating that the bird in your photo was either a Sharp-shinned hawk or a Copper’s hawk is correct. I would lean more towards a Cooper’s hawk, actually. You can easily compare the two species on our website http://www.theraptorcenter.org but another suitable source with great photos and information is the Cornell Lab of Ornithology at http://www.birds.cornell.edu/netcommunity/Page.aspx?pid=1478
Happy birding to you!
Thanks for all the help, Katie!
