Lansing Art Gallery Holiday Exhibition: Now Open!

Look out, the holidays are the horizon. This means gifts for family and friends you haven’t unfriended on Facebook (you can forget about that third cousin in Laingsburg, probably).

Thankfully, I have art in the Lansing Art Gallery for their Michigan Made holiday exhibition. Three pieces, to be specific. They are from my Found Cartoon series (each started as a random watercolor shape, which I made into a cartoon).

The opening reception was yesterday, Thursday, Nov. 11th 5pm – 8pm. Steph and I managed to make it out, which was nice. Hooray for art events where I don’t have to set up a festival tent.

A big thank you to the crew at the Lansing Art Gallery. Not only for selecting my art for this show, but for doing a heck of a job setting everything up and making great displays. If you are looking to shop local for some unique holiday gifts, I highly recommend stopping by the gallery. I even bought a piece of art myself last night, from Michigan artist Ashley Pahl. It’s so cute! I can’t wait to hang it on my inspiration wall at the studio.

I also got to finally try some Peruvian food from Tantay Lansing. Wow! I didn’t get there in time to try the full menu, but the chicken stew I had was delicious. I love a good food pop-up. And just food in general, to be honest (see: why I have a Fitbit now [affiliate link]).

I don’t have any art festival events planned for the near future, so this is the next best thing, along with another exhibition at the Lansing Made shop (more details in a new blog post coming soon). The Lansing Art Gallery holiday exhibition runs until December 23rd, just in case you decide at the last minute to get Cousin Rufus something after all.

Even though I don’t have any art festivals planned for now, my online shop is always open. You can also check out my offerings in my society6 shop as well.
