I had the privilege of going on a semi-private tour of the Michigan Historical Museum a couple weeks ago. It was one of the Geek Field Trips put on by my friends Nick and Betsy. They are great at getting our little group tours of fun places in or near Lansing.
For this photo, we were in one of the archive rooms which the public isn’t allowed to visit without special permission. It is where they store state records, and our guide pulled out this prison record book–he wanted us to see the photo above.
The man in the photo had a full body mug shot taken. Why? He had quite a bit of tattoos. Including one on his torso which said “Ladies Only” and had an arrow pointing to his groin.
That’s classier than Valentine’s Day at White Castle. Puts my “I Brake for Log Ladies” tattoo to shame (ah, college and Twin Peaks marathons. What a winning combo).
