East Lansing Art Festival 2019 Saturday and Sunday

The big weekend is finally here: I’m appearing at the East Lansing Art Festival this Saturday and Sunday. Last year, I attended as an Emerging Artist. This year, I’m attending as a fully juried artist, and I’m very excited.

Don’t forget: the East Lansing Art Festival is free to attend! And it’s all outside, so check the weather.

Where to Find Me at the East Lansing Art Festival 2019

I’m in booth 43, right next to my wife Steph Joy Hogan (booth 42). We’re on Albert St., not far from the corner of Albert and M.A.C., across from the Marriott Hotel and in front of the CVS.

Just look for my big colorful cat-covered banner,  and keep an eye on my Instagram for photos, you will find me.

What Am I Selling at the East Lansing Art Festival 2019?

Because of art festival rules, I’m only selling original art. This means I can’t sell prints or other mass produced items, like the Foxes & Boxes books or my greeting cards. However, I will be giving out business cards with the link to buy Foxes & Boxes book (bit.ly/foxesboxes1) if anyone is interested.

Note: I could sell prints, but there are specific rules for that and it’s easier for me just to crank out a bunch of originals.

This year at the East Lansing Art Festival, I’m selling:

  • 2019 100 Day Project watercolor cartoons (still in progress), “100 Found Cartoons” (4×6, matted)
  • The remaining pieces from my “Found Cartoons” exhibition at the Arts Council of Greater Lansing in April (various sizes, framed)
  • Four pieces from a new series called “Sassy Food” (5×5, framed)
  • 2018 Inktober watercolor cartoons “31 Cats” (4×6, matted)
  • 2018 Monster Portraits (various sizes, framed)

As you can see, I’ll have a lot of art to choose from. The smallest pieces are 4×6 and the largest are 18×24. Each piece is original, and one of a kind.

East Lansing Art Festival Days and Hours

The art festival kicks off this Saturday at 10 AM and goes until 6 PM. On Sunday, the hours are 10 AM to 5 PM. Everything can be found on M.A.C. and Albert St. in downtown East Lansing. You can’t miss it, just look for the crowds near El Azteco and the Marriott Hotel.

Next Weekend: Cherry Capital Comic Con

I’m in for a crazy few weeks here as my season kicks off. Steph and I will be at Cherry Capital Comic Con next weekend (Memorial Day Weekend) in Traverse City, Michigan. Steph has her own table this year, and we collaborated on a pair of new prints (which turned out AMAZING). I will have Foxes & Boxes books for sale at C4!
