A perk of being part of the artist community here in Lansing is, I know a lot of fellow creators. One such creator is my friend Sara Pulver, who in addition to being a fantastic muralist, runs the cutest li’l stationary shop: Dear Ollie & Co.
When Sara asked me to be the featured artist for April and May, I didn’t hesitate to say yes.
Not only will Sara feature some of my prints and other works, she commissioned me to create an exclusive sticker for the shop. Since Sara and I are both big into keeping journals, and writing tools of all kinds, it didn’t take me long to come up with an idea.
Here’s the rough sketch I sent Sara before working on the final image. She loved it right away and couldn’t wait to see the finished version.

I’m considering taking a stab at my own stickers this summer. We’ll see though, as I can’t sell them at all of my art festival events. However, there’s no rule against me giving away stickers (at least I don’t think).
Speaking of art festivals, my first appearance of the year is East Lansing Art Festival next month. It’ll be here soon!
