You would think after two art festivals, two weekends in a row (Flint and Northville), I would take a week off. Right? RIGHT? Well, no, not so much. This weekend brings the Capital City Creatives Crawl here in Lansing, Michigan. Thankfully, I don’t have to go far, or really set anything up. Or be outside. Or get all sweaty. Or–
ANYWAY, Steph and I are hosting an open studio day at our space inside Cedar Street Art Collective this Saturday, June 25 as part of Capital City Creatives Crawl. Doors open at 10 AM and we’ll be there until 6 PM.
Capital City Creatives Crawl Details
Where:
Cedar Street Art Collective, 1701 S Cedar St, Lansing, MI 48910. Park in the back, and use the red front door on Cedar to go right into our studio (we’re the first door on the right). The side door will also be open, which will lead you past other visiting artists taking part in Capital City Creatives Crawl. Some of the other artists at Cedar Street Art Collective will be taking part as well.
When:
Saturday, June 15, 10 AM – 6 PM. This applies to all locations (unless they decide different, of course).
Steph and I will both have original art and prints for sale, including my new limited edition dragon prints. You can also get a sneak peek on what I’m working on for ScrapFest in July. For ScrapFest, I’m making all new art using pages from old encyclopedias, as well as repurposed picture frames.
City-Wide Fun
Don’t forget that the Capital City Creatives Crawl is a city-wide event. While there will be a lot of creators at Cedar Street Art Collective with us, make sure to check out this interactive map for other locations.
I hope you can make it out to our studio this Saturday!
