It’s the time of year when lists start making the rounds, so here’s one of mine! I read 65 books in 2018 (I read 60 in 2017). Will I make it to 70 in 2019? I can sure as hamburger try.

Books are listed in the order I read them, with a few bits of commentary here and there.

  1. Rat Queens vol.1 – Kurtis J. Wiebe, Roc Upchurch. A hilarious fantasy comic series (but not for kids).

  41. Ranma 1/2 vol. 1 & 2 – Rumiko Takahashi A manga I just decided to try at the library and quickly fell in love with.

  65. Princess Wolf and Her Life of Darkness – Beatrix and Kristen haas Curtis I’ve followed Kristen on Instagram for a while now, and I was happy to back the book she made with her daughter on Kickstarter.

As you can see, there’s a lot of comics and graphic novels on this list. There’s nothing wrong with that, reading is reading. However, I do want to try to read more…uh…traditional novels in 2019.
