The end is near, or nigh if you wanna get all AP English. Saturday and Sunday brings the A2 Artoberfest in Ann Arbor, which is my last art festival appearance of 2022. I have a few other events on the horizon, but they aren’t “art festivals” by any stretch. I’ve also never done an art festival in Ann Arbor before, so I’m excited to try out this new location.
But wait: there’s more! This weekend is extra special because Steph and I are the featured artists for A2 Artoberfest. That is our art in the promotional image above, a new collaboration we did just for the this event. The full image is another “space cat” piece, and we’ll have prints for sale this weekend.
Where is A2 Artoberfest?
The fun happens in downtown Ann Arbor, on North Fourth Ave. and Ann Street. It basically branches out from that intersection in a “plus” shape. I’m in booth 78, and Steph is next to me in booth 79, right next to the intersection on Fourth Ave. If you want an address for the ol’ GPS, put in 118 N 4th Ave, Ann Arbor, MI 48104 to find an easy way to A2 Artoberfest.
What are the art festival hours?
Saturday, October 8, 10 AM – 7 PM
Sunday, October 9, 10 AM – 4 PM
Besides the new collaboration print I did with Steph, I will have some new ScrapToons, and three new watercolor “Jack O Lantern” cartoons. Between the ScrapToons and the new watercolors, I’m bringing 12 new pieces with me to A2 Artoberfest. I may also bring some older framed items to help fill up my tent walls. This is my last art festival of the year, so I may as well go big.
I did learn this season that I need to keep my tent walls as full as possible. Lately this means hanging my bagged, matted originals too. Which is fine! That is what I love about my mesh wall display system: it is super versatile.
Come on out to Ann Arbor for A2 Artoberfest this weekend if you can! I will be updating my online shop soon with leftover items.
