Get ready for some fun in the sun, as tomorrow you can see me at Artfeast in Lansing’s Old Town. Don’t worry, it’s not like the Old Town in Sin City (…at least not anymore). The event combines an art fair and a food truck rally into a fun Voltron of an event.
I’ll be selling a bunch of original art, including pieces from my Monster Portraits series and my remaining 100 Days Project 2018 cartoons. I will probably be selling prints too, if I have room for them in my car.
Why is my car so packed? Because this is my first show with my new pop-up canopy. Plus, there’s my grid cubes, my two folding tables, my fancy tall director’s chair, and plenty of other things.
When and Where is Artfeast?
You can find Artfeast in Lansing’s Old Town, on Turner St. between Grand River Ave (aka Cesar Chavez Ave) and Beaver St.
The event is tomorrow, Saturday, August 18 and it kicks off at 10 AM and lasts until 5 PM (note: the food truck rally is 11 AM to 3 PM).
There is no cost to attend–that’s right, it’s a free event for the whole family. It is an outdoor event, so keep an eye on the weather (and keep those fingers crossed!).
Where to Find Me at Artfeast
Good news! Your boy is right at the front of the fun, based on this map I got.
It looks I’m right across the street from The Grid and the Fishladder parking lot on the corner of Turner and Grand River/Cesar Chavez. Artists will line the sides of Turner going towards Beaver St. (with the food trucks being at the very end).
More good news! My wife, Steph Joy Hogan, will also be at Artfeast. She’s in spot 19, just past Clinton St. Go check out her stuff too.
Please come out to Artfeast this Saturday! It looks like it will be a great day for an outdoor art festival.
Don’t forget: I’ll be at MeggaXP in Jackson next weekend. Then I get a weekend off before Capital City Comic Con.
